Established in 2008, RodeSafety 's vision is to assist people get the most from the bicycles, with the hope that eventually we'll feel just as comfortable jumping on a bike as we do jumping into a car for short journeys.
What do we do?
- We offer cycling services to individuals, groups and companies; building cycling skills such that the trainee can ride safely and confidently where they want when they want.
Why do we do it?
- Lessons give riders the confidence, knowledge and road awareness to ride safely.
Who do we work with?
- We deliver training in conjunction with Local Authorities, numerous schools and a wide range or private clients; we have delivered training to over 1,000 trainees to date
What makes us different?
- Our services have been carefully designed to directly address cyclists needs in the real world using best practice from Bikeability, British Cycling and Cytech.
- Our Instructors are accredited and insured National Standard Cycle Instructors with clean Criminal Record checks and valid First Aid Training qualifications. They bring a wealth of training, road safety and cycling experience to ensure you get the most from your time with us.
- RodeSafety has been accredited as Bikeability Scheme Organizer by the Cycle Training Standards Board.
- We offer a range of training options from one-to-one, small group (maximum 4 trainees) to large group (5-12 trainees) to suit all needs
Our People
- Paul Rode, Managing Director. After becoming a fully accredited National Standard Cycle Instructor, Paul founded RodeSafety in 2008. Paul works closely with our pool of Instructors and our key clients. Paul has ridden more than 10,000 miles, completing long distance multi-day rides in the US and the UK. Paul is also a keen photographer and has been published online and in print. Paul completed his undergraduate degree at The University of Durham, after which he qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) in 2002. Paul completed his MBA at The University of Oxford in 2006.
- Christine Rode, Programme Director. Christine runs RodeSafety on a day-to-day basis, coordinating between Instructors and customers including Local Authorities, Schools and private clients. Christine is a keen runner and has completed four marathons and numerous shorter races. Christine is also an accomplished violinist, most recently having played and performed with the Oxford Millennium Orchestra. Christine took her undergraduate degree at Bucknell University (Penn., USA) and she received her MA (English Composition) from San Francisco State University.
